Don’t Ignore Email
With the rapid rise of social media as a marketing tool, you’d be forgiven for thinking that email was no longer relevant. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Email is still a crucially important online marketing strategy. Consider this: 91% of consumers check their email at least once a day…..and 66% have made a purchase as a result of reading an email. (These statistics are from Exact Target’s 2012 survey)
BUT – you can’t send bulk emails to clients and prospects via your regular email account – unless you want to be branded as a spammer! You need dedicated email marketing software. There is a wide and bewildering choice at varying prices, but the good news is that you’re very likely to be able to use a free service when starting out with email marketing. My personal recommendation is MadMimi (affiliate link) – a very straightforward and simple to use service that’s free for up to 2500 contacts.
Email Marketing Training and Management
